Counselling
As a client-centred therapist, I believe that people have an innate capacity to understand themselves and work through their own challenges when they are supported within the right environment. My role is not to direct or “fix,” but to create a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts and experiences at their own pace.Within this supportive relationship, I may incorporate psychoeducational resources and expressive approaches—such as journalling or sand-tray therapy—to help clients gain new perspectives on their circumstances, beliefs, and behaviours. These tools are used collaboratively to deepen self-awareness and support meaningful, self-directed change.
Parent Consultation
Teaching parents to view their child's behaviour from an attachment perspective is an important first step in helping them regulate their own and then their child's behaviour. This allows a healthy parent-child relationship to develop or flourish. Parents who recognise and value that the parent-child relationship has a 'right order', and then learn how to create this, with kindness, can enjoy and treasure their child more fullly. Parenting can be challenging, and you don't have to navigate it alone. If you'd like support in reflecting on your parenting practice or finding new ways to connect with your child or teen, you're welcome to book a parent consultation session.
